How is the NEET score calculated?
NEET awards +4 marks for every correct answer and deducts 1 mark for every wrong answer. Unattempted questions score 0. The paper has 180 questions (Physics 45, Chemistry 45, Biology 90), so the maximum score is 720.
Should I attempt questions I'm unsure about?
A blind guess has an expected value of 0 with four options (+4 at 25%, −1 at 75%). If you can eliminate two options, the expected value turns positive, so attempt it. If your accuracy in a subject is below about 70%, cut down on guesses there first.
Which subject should I focus on to raise my mock score?
Biology carries 360 of the 720 marks, so it usually has the most marks at stake. Compare marks lost per subject: the subject with the largest gap between your score and its maximum is where an extra study hour pays back most.
